Both tools are designed to eliminate the technical barriers that often prevent people from creating their own websites. When you sign up for a Hostinger shared hosting account, you get access to both these AI tools as part of your package.
To create a website with either tool is simple, you provide some basic information about your business or website goals, and the AI generates a complete, functional website tailored to your needs.
No coding required, no design experience necessary, just answer a few questions and you get a great template from which to customize off of.
Hostinger WordPress AI Builder – How It Works
Let me walk you through the actual process of creating a website with Hostinger’s WordPress AI tool, based on my hands-on experience.
The Setup Process
When you’re installing a new WordPress website with Hostinger, you’re prompted to either create a website with AI or use a pre-built website and theme.
After selecting the AI option and choosing a temporary domain name (you can use a domain name you own if you like), WordPress gets installed automatically.
Providing Your Website Details
The AI then prompts you to provide information about your site, similar to other AI website builders. You’ll need to enter:
- Your brand name
- Website type (business and services, personal, etc.)
- A brief description of your business or website purpose
I used “David’s Donuts” for my test case, describing it as “a bakery making a wide range of premium baked goods, coffee and donuts.”
The key here is to keep your description concise, two to three sentences work best. I’ve found that longer descriptions don’t always produce better results.
You can also use generative AI to help create a site description too.
The Generation Process
Once you submit your information, the AI goes to work creating your WordPress website. The process is remarkably fast, within seconds, you have a fully functional website complete with relevant content, images, and structure.

How is the quality overall? Not bad! You get a well website and if you’re not happy with it, you can redo the design.

The website that Hostinger’s AI generated for my donut bakery was a simple, clean design that perfectly suited a local bakery business. This base level design can easily be customized too with regards to colors, images, section layout and more.
The website design included:
- A well-designed header with navigation
- An engaging hero section with relevant imagery
- Service sections highlighting different offerings
- About and contact information
- A professional footer
The design looked modern and professional, exactly what you’d want for a small business website.
Content Generation
The AI does create fairly generic placeholder text, so you will need to customize the copy to suite your marketing needs. Again, this tool is excellent at creating a usable template and framework that you can then customize to your needs.
For copywriting, use generative AI (ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini) to help you write compelling sales copy for your website.
Page Structure
The AI automatically created essential pages including you’re going to need for your website:
- Homepage (set as the front page in the FSE)

- Privacy Policy page

Customization and Editing
To customize your site, you’ll be using the full site editor (FSE) and the Hostinger AI theme.
The WordPress Full Site Editor
One thing that sets Hostinger’s WordPress AI apart is that you’re working with actual WordPress. The generated site uses the full site editor, which means you have complete control over customization.
You can:
- Edit templates for pages and posts.
- Modify templates for different page types.
- Adjust colors, fonts, and styling.
- Add new sections and content blocks.
- Install additional plugins as needed.
The site is powered by the “Hostinger AI theme,” which is built specifically for the full site editor. So if you’re not familiar with the FSE, there is a bit of a learning curve, but it’s simple enough and code free.
No multiple designs
Hostinger’s WordPress AI gives you just one design option upfront. You don’t get multiple variations to choose from initially.
This isn’t necessarily a dealbreaker, just an inconvenience.
If you’re not happy with the generated design, you can simply click the purple “create again” button to generate a new design.
The AI will then create a completely different layout and design approach, so you can “create again” until you find a design layout that you like.

Now, let’s talk about Hostinger’s other AI option, their traditional website builder which is excellent for small business websites.
This is a separate tool from the WordPress AI, and it’s worth considering if you’re looking to build a business website.
The Website Builder Experience
The traditional website builder follows a similar process:
- Enter your business name and description
- Choose whether you want an online store
- Let the AI generate your website
- Customize as needed
The results are a full functional business website with different sections that you can edit. The approach of this “structured” website builder as I would all it are that you can edit and adjust sections as needed.
Built-in AI Tools
What makes Hostinger’s website builder particularly interesting is the collection of AI tools built right into the platform:
- AI Section Generator: Create custom sections by describing what you want
- AI Page Generator: Generate entire new pages with relevant content
- AI Image Generator: Create custom images for your website
- AI Writer: Generate copy for different parts of your site

This suite of tools are acceptable, but a dedicated generative AI tool will out perform Hostinger’s suite of tools on all fronts, from writing copy to image creation.

The AI section generator is particularly useful. You can describe what you want , for example, “create a welcome section explaining the site and have an image on the right-hand side” and the AI will generate exactly that.
It creates the layout, adds relevant text, and includes appropriate imagery that you can update.
AI Image Generation
The built-in image generator is convenient, though I found the results to be average at best rather than exceptional.
When I asked it to create an image of “premium donuts and coffee in a bakery,” it generated something that looked bakery-related but didn’t quite capture the essence of donuts specifically.
For mission critical images, you might want to use more specialized AI image tools or professional photography.
The Logo Maker
The AI logo maker is a nice touch for businesses that don’t already have a logo. It offers various style options (abstract, corporate, eco-friendly, futuristic, geometric, hand-drawn, etc.) and generates multiple variations based on your business name and chosen style.
But again, I would either hire a logo designer, use ChatGPT or use Canva to create logos.
Important Considerations
So Hostinger offers two useful AI website creation tools, one for WordPress and another for small business websites.
WordPress AI vs. Website Builder Decision
Hostinger’s traditional website builder is a proprietary tool. This means if you build your website with their website builder, you’re essentially locked into Hostinger’s platform.
You can’t migrate a website builder site to another hosting provider. It’s Hostinger or nothing.
With WordPress however, you have complete portability due to this CMS popularity. You can move your WordPress site to any hosting provider that supports WordPress, giving you much more flexibility in the long run.
Who Should Use Each Tool
Choose WordPress AI if you:

- Plan to scale your website significantly
